Nerves. Golden light. A dazzling ring. Even more dazzling smiles somehow. All the joy in the WORLD. I love love. Thank you for inviting me into this breathtaking moment!
Lisa + Tom passed each other on the street 25 years ago in New York City, double taking as they looked back at each other! They later found out they lived in the same building and exchanged numbers. They decided to get married on their first date and eloped within the month. On their elopement date, Lisa’s camera was broken, so they ended up with no photos of their day. 25 years later for their anniversary, we went down to city hall, the two in the same outfits they wore that day, and we recreated the moment! Their best friend officiated, and then we took some anniversary photos in their favorite places in the city.
A Christmas Eve Courthouse Elopement
Atlanta’s favorite jeweler’s new December catalogue
Kendall + John got married yesterday just outside of Birmingham, where it rained steadily all day. Scott and I went location scouting in the morning, looking for a few good, covered photo spots. We stumbled upon this little chapel, which I think is a perfect spot for a first look. First looks are sweet moments of rest in the middle of a hectic day. They allow you to slow down, hold each other, and remember what all the work has been for. And I think this chapel stands as a reminder that in the middle of storms that seem unceasing, there is somewhere we can run to rest and be loved. These two have that foundation, and now they get to build their life, as one, upon it!
